چکیده
A coccoid-shaped, strictly anaerobic, hyperthermophilic and piezophilic organoheterotrophic archaeon, strain Iri35c T , was isolated from a hydrothermal chimney rock sample collected at depth of 2300 m the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (Rainbow vent field). Cells grew NaCl concentrations ranging 1–5 % (w/v) (optimum 2.0 %), pH 5.0 to 9.0 7.0–7.5), temperatures between 50 90 °C 75–80 °C) pressures 0.1 least MPa (optimum: 10–30 MPa). The novel isolate on complex organic substrates, such as yeast extract, tryptone, peptone or beef preferentially in presence elemental sulphur l -cystine; however, these molecules were not necessary for growth. Its genomic DNA G+C content 54.63 mol%. genome has been annotated metabolic predictions are accordance with characteristics Thermococcales general. Phylogenetic analyses based 16S rRNA gene sequences concatenated ribosomal protein showed that belongs genus Thermococcus, is closer species T. celericrescens siculi . Average nucleotide identity scores silico DNA–DNA hybridization values genomes type Thermococcus below delineation threshold. Therefore, considering phenotypic data presented, suggested represent species, which name camini sp. nov. proposed, (=UBOCC M-2026 =DSM 111003 ).

A novel hyperthermophilic archaeon, designated strain SY1(T), was isolated from a deep-sea hydrothermal vent chimney sample collected from the Suiyo Seamount in the Izu-Bonin Arc, Japan, at a depth of 1385 m. The cells were irregular cocci (1.2 to 2.1 micro m in diameter), occurring singly or in pairs, and stained Gram-negative. Growth was observed between 70 and 97 degrees C (optimum, 85 degre...

An extremely thermophilic archaeon, strain ST557T (T = type strain), was isolated from a deep-sea hydrothermal vent in the North Fiji Basin. This strain is a strictly anaerbic coccus whose cells are about 0.8 to 2 microns in diameter. The optimum temperature, pH and sea salt concentration for growth are 85 degrees C, 8.5, and 20 to 40 g/liter, respectively. Strain ST557T grows preferentially in...

A hyperthermophilic, sulfur-reducing, organo-heterotrophic archaeon, strain OGL-20P(T), was isolated from 'black smoker' chimney material from the Rainbow hydrothermal vent site on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge (36.2 degrees N, 33.9 degrees W). The cells of strain OGL-20P(T) have an irregular coccoid shape and are motile with a single flagellum. Growth was observed within a pH range of 5.0-8.5 (optimu...

Thermococcus sp. strain 4557 is a hyperthermophilic anaerobic archaeon isolated from the deep-sea hydrothermal vent Guaymas Basin site in the Gulf of California at a depth of 2,000 m. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of Thermococcus sp. 4557, which consists of a single circular chromosome of 2,011,320 bp with a G+C content of 56.08%.

A hyperthermophilic methanogen, strain JH146(T), was isolated from 26 °C hydrothermal vent fluid emanating from a crack in basaltic rock at Marker 113 vent, Axial Seamount in the northeastern Pacific Ocean. It was identified as an obligate anaerobe that uses only H2 and CO2 for growth. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that the strain is more than 97% similar to othe...
